Translation

We provide multilingual translation from and into Simplified Chinese (Mandarin Chinese). See below language pairs in detail:

Proofreading

When draft translation is done, effective measures should be taken to ensure that translation is error proof.

QA & QC measures

We have QA tools to facilitate the process of finding humanly mistakes such as missing translation, spelling mistakes, number or name mistakes as well as inconsistency mistakes.

Besides QA measures, we always have someone read through the translation, known as QC measures, ensuring that translation is free of mis-understanding, grammatical and idiomatic mistakes.

All language pairs are proofread by a native speaker of target language.

Editing / Reviewing

Generally translation service ends at TransProof stage. However if your translation is tuned for publication purpose, then Editing is essential. It's important that translation being checked linguistically and/or technically.

For books, Public Speech, Press Release, Company Brochure, Whitepaper, Manuals and Guides of various kinds, editing in linguistic perspective would bring more sastifactory outcome. Most of our editors have linguistic background and are senior translators themselves.

For Datasheet, Specifications, and many technical documents, technical review would contribute more to the credibility of the document. Reviewers are experts in specific field that he/she is reviewing.

Note: difference between Proofreading and Editing is that: Proofreader always have to check translation against source document; while Editor will focus on how to ensure translation more aesthetically pleasing or more technically professional.

Back Translation & Evaluation

For legal and medical translations, we can provide back translation service as an impartial third party. And we'll also provide an evaluation report from both linguistic and technical persepectives. Assess scope includes: Accuracy, Appropriateness, Naturalness, Cohesion and Style of discourse/choice of words.

This is normally an joint effort of expert in field and linguist of that language pair.

Simplified Chinese vs. Traditional Chinese, & Conversion

Want to market your product or service to target audience? It would be better to speak in their native tongue. However Chinese is a language that is diversed developed that one version is somewhat unreadable or simply funny in other regions. Fortunately, there are only two mainstream language locales.

Simplified Chinese, also known as Mandarin Chinese are widely used in mainland China and Singapore. Its Charset (Character Sets) include GB2312, GBK and GB18030.

Traditional Chinese are mostly used in Hong Kong and Taiwan, with minor difference. Hong Kong Chinese Charset is HKSCS, while Taiwan adopts Big5.

We have a review team of native speakers in both Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, who can convert naturally between Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese (for both Hong Kong and Taiwan regions). This humanly conversion (between Simplified and Traditional Chinese) service is incomparable with machine conversion, just as dedicated human translation is to awkward machine translation.
